Glasses that prevent eye strain from your monitor...

If you are like me and spend at least 8 hours a day in front of your computer, then Gunnar Optiks might be of interest. This new line of eye wear has been developed for one purpose, to make your life if front of a computer more comfortable. The key point being eye strain reduction which is a big problem for a lot of people logging serious hours in front of computer screens.

Yes, I know this feels a bit nerdy but I actually have a pair and have done a "compare/contrast" test, one day on, the next off. I repeated this test for about a week. The conclusion is not scientific but the days that I wore the glasses I was not nearly as tired at the end of the day.

They have several frames from the "art director" type of style to the full blown tech nerd, but there is no denying you will get some shit for wearing these, it's worth it.

below is a snippet about the technology, tons of info on the website.

GUNNAR i-AMP™ lens technology is the result of intensive study and research on the human optical system and its interaction with digital devices.

Based on optometric principals developed over years, and fused with the most recent in technological advances from the GUNNAR tech labs, i-AMP lens technology works with and enhances the properties of the human eye.

Comprised of a proprietary lens material in an advanced geometry and finished with custom tuned lens tint and coatings, i-AMP lens technology can deliver an immediate and noticeable visual advantage in the short term, and provide both performance and protection in the long term.
